Can I apply for Hajj if I do not have a passport or a digital ID?
No, you must have an Iraqi passport and a digital ID to apply for Hajj.
If my name is drawn in the lottery, can I make a concession (transfer my spot) to someone else?
No, this year, concessions to another person are not allowed under any circumstances, except in the case of an emergency such as (illness, death) based on a medical report and official documents. Otherwise, someone from the waiting list will take your place.
Can two women or two men apply for Hajj together?
No, two women or two men cannot apply for Hajj together. For information about the different Hajj categories, carefully read the guidelines.
If my name is drawn in the lottery, can I postpone it for another year?
No, this year, postponement to another year is not allowed under any circumstances, except in case of an emergency such as illness, based on a medical report and official documents. Otherwise, someone from the waiting list will take your place.
Can a child be registered with their parents?
No, a child cannot fill out the Hajj application form if they are under 18 years old.
Can residents from outside the region apply for Hajj?
No, the applicant must be a resident of the Kurdistan Region.
Can I choose my mode of travel myself (i.e., by land or air)?
Yes, it is optional, but the quota is limited and will be determined at the time of processing the travel arrangements at the Hajj and Umrah offices in the provinces and independent administrations.
